Donald Charles "Don" Simpson

Donald "Don" Charles Simpson, 84, of Geneva, OH passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Hospice House. He was born November 1, 1939, in Warren, OH, the son of the late Noah Bert and the late Lucille Ella Irwin Simpson. Don was a graduate of Harding High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, retiring as Senior Chief Petty Officer after 30 years of service. He also worked as a mail carrier for the USPS for 40 years. Don attended North Mar Church and refereed high school sports including football, baseball, and basketball. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Audrey Davis Simpson of Geneva, OH; children, Kenneth Simpson, Dianna Oakes, James Simpson, Brian (Sandra) McCall, and Brett McCall; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Simpson. Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
