Edward Lutz Obituary

Edward J. Lutz, 71, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at home surrounded by family and visited by many friends who loved him. He was born in Warren, Ohio on December 16, 1953 to Edward Lutz and Eleanor Hank Lutz. Acquiring carpentry skills at a young age, he excelled in his profession during his lifetime. He loved the sport of volleyball in his youth. He enjoyed exploring waterfalls and cooking sausages at his fire parties. Ed had many dogs and cats throughout his life and loved them all dearly. Ed was loyal to the Cleveland Browns and a day didn't go by without his favorite old-time westerns. One tune he used to sing was the Frank Sinatra phrase "I've Gotta Be Me" and he was. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Irene Slywczak; his daughter, Starla Abbott (Scott) and grandchildren, Carter and Camden; his daughter, Jennifer Pulver and granddaughter, Eleanor and grandson, Ross; and stepson, Michael Glavies. He never wanted a funeral and has been cremated. The company that he had in his last days was greatly appreciated. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Edward J.
