Elinor J. Byrnes

WARREN – Elinor J. Byrnes, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Ashley Circle in Austintown. She was born December 27, 1933 in Salem, the daughter of Murray L. and Marguerite (Fenton) Henry. A graduate of Jackson-Milton High School, Elinor married the love of her life, William C. Byrnes, on September 27, 1963 and settled in to become a first-class homemaker for her family. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Niles. She loved to go on vacations to Virginia and West Virginia to see good friends. She enjoyed the challenges of crossword puzzles, cooking, and most of all, time with her grandchildren and the many children she babysat over the years. Precious memories of Elinor live on with her son, Matthew H. Byrnes, Sr.; five grandchildren: Megan, Marissa, Matthew, Jr., Marcus Byrnes, and Miranda Wilson (John); and one great-grandchild, her "birthday buddy" Lucas Byrnes. Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband of fifty-three years, William C. Byrnes, who passed April 5, 2016; and her sister, Mavis Peters. There are no public services.
