She was known for her engaging lectures on historical figures such as Harriet Taylor Upton, Martha Washington, Dolly Madison, and Lou Hoover. Liz was also a devoted member of Christ Episcopal Church. Remembering Liz' fondness for rhubarb pie and the times we provided some for her and her family at this time of year. She was a wonderful person and we were happy to have had the opportunity to know her. Judi and Terry Sheridan

Liz was my 6th grade teacher at Howland Glen. As an adult, we connected over the years on occasion, too, as she'd known my mom and other family who were also Howland teachers. She was a joy in the classroom it what was a rough year for me. She made learning interesting and challenging. Her impact in my life and so many others is a lasting tribute to her. Sending your family sympathies from me and my family, many of whom also had Liz as a teacher.
