Francis Seifert Obituary
Fran was a 1957 graduate of Rome Free Academy where he excelled at football and wrestling. He worked at the Rome Cable Corporation for 40 years and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed golf and was a past member of McConnellsville Golf Club for many years.
He is survived by his children Michael F. (Lia) Seifert and Eric N. (Kim) Seifert both of Rome, NY. He also leaves behind siblings Frederick N. Seifert of Nashua, NH and Arthur G. Seifert of Rome; grandchildren Cassandra (Dr. Apoorv) Prasad, Michael T. (April) Seifert, Matthew Costello, and Patrick (Allison) Costello; great-grandchildren Natalie Prasad, Sadie and Jack Seifert, and Marco and Isabella Costello.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home For Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court Street, Rome. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Francis's memory to Rome Rescue Mission 413 E. Dominick St, Rome, NY.
