Frank Doughton Obituary

Frank S. Doughton Jr., age 70 of Newton Falls, Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at University Hospital Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Frank was born September 26, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of Frank S. Sr. & Lois E. Hurl Doughton. He was a 1972 graduate of Liberty High School. Frank was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes Football team. He was a salesman for many years in the Insurance Industry. Frank was very involved with unionizing his workplace in the federal prison system. Frank will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family; his daughter Leah (Kevin) Toot of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and three grandchildren Alexis, Kalyn, and Julia. He also leaves his siblings, Jane A. Doughton of Girard, Ohio, and Pamela Hurl Doughton (Steve Vogl) of Clear Lake, Minnesota, and nieces and nephews Nicholas Shields, Liza Christopher, Tracey Christopher, and Kelly Russek. His parents preceded him in death. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year when Frank is laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to Warren Family Mission 155 Tod Avenue NW Warren, Ohio 44485. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
