Gayle Cione Obituary

Gayle Cione, 77, of Sharon, passed away Monday morning, January 6, 2025, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell. Ms. Cione was born on April 1, 1947, in New Castle, a daughter of the late William and Isabelle (Rzymski) Fraley. She was a 1965 graduate of Union High School and became a Licensed Practical Nurse through Lawrence County Vo-Tech. She spent her career working as a LPN at the former Orange Village, Masury, OH. Gayle was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. She also volunteered weekly at Joshua's Haven, Farrell. She had a passion for crafting, decorating and attending craft shows. Gayle was also a beach lover and looked forward to visiting the ocean and Presque Isle, Erie, PA. In her free time, she enjoyed watching Judge Judy and listening to live local bands. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by a son, Joseph Sudrovic and his wife Sarah, Brookfield, OH; three grandchildren, Alexis Stoner (Sarah), Joie Sudrovic and Aiden Doyle; two sisters, Susan Croak (Anthony), and Charlene Lofaro, all of New Castle; two nieces, Lori Sye and Susie Lofaro; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and William Scott Stoner; and her companion, Bill Griffith. Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday (01/10/2025) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon, with Rev. James Power, officiating. Calling hours will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home. Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, New Castle.
