Gerald Hrabosky Obituary
Gerald John Hrabosky was born at Farrell Regional Hospital, and after graduating Class of 1969 from Sharon High School, he enlisted for USAF Reserves in Youngstown, OH. He was an amazing racquetball player and I'm sure left many bruises on his opponents during his play at the Buhl Club! He was an active member of many churches in the valley, starting at Sharon Baptist Church, while his wife taught children's church. People and motorcycles were his passion, and he shared that passion through his business practices. He passed away at Jameson Hospital on September 21, 2025.
Jerry was, first and foremost, a good, God-fearing man. He was raised in Sharon by a good family, the son of John and Esther Hrabosky, brother to David, Stephanie, Patty, and John. In 1973, he met my mother, Pam, who was recently divorced with two sons, and fell in love, not just in love with her, but with her sons, Ed and Chris. Nathan and Luke arrived soon after (Nice work, dad),and were raised as hard-working and respectful brothers.
Pam and Jerry were diligent workers, starting up two businesses in the Shenango Valley, the Subway and Jerry's Cycle Shack. They were dedicated to their customers, and after choosing the motorcycle business, sold the Subway and upgraded the "Cycle Shack" to "Dr. Jerry's Cycle Clinic" following a popular television commercial where Jerry played the "Dr. of Motorcyclopathy", working on customers' dreams to own and ride their own motorcycles.
He was also very engaged in the MCAR program through his sister Patty and would frequently stop in on his Harley to give the students rides. He and Pam also ran countless Poker Runs to benefit Muscular Dystrophy, along with his good friends Gary Meszaros and "Crazy" Eddie Wilson.
My father was funny. He was generous. He was loving. I never heard him swear in my life. I'd like you all to take a moment out of your day and say a prayer for our country, and try to live a little more like my hero, Dr. Jerry Hrabosky.
Your's in peace,
Pamela, Edward, Christopher, Nathanael, Lucas Hrabosky, and family.
