Gregory Anderson Obituary

Gregory "Greg" Anderson was born on February 5, 1962 to Shirley Anderson and Willie Gambles. He entered his heavenly home on September 12, 2025. Born and raised in Ohio, the majority of his life was spent in Youngstown along with a few relocations. Greg grew up with a love for sports, particularly football. He was a student at South High School where upon graduation he received a football scholarship to Southern Illinois University. Throughout his life, Greg worked various jobs. Faith and love for God were pinnacle in Greg's life which he showed through his service as a member at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Struthers OH. As a man of many talents, one of Greg's favorites was cooking. He also loved the comfort of family. If there was a gathering, you could probably find Greg front and center with a plate and a smile that lit up the room. Greg leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, brothers; Henry Anderson, III, Jerome Anderson both of Youngstown, John Anderson of Columbus, and a sister; Linda Anderson of Columbus and a host of family and friends. With open arms waiting for Greg at heaven's gate are many friends and family members. The Memorial service will be held at on Saturday 10/4/2025 1:00 p.m. at The Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2003 Wilson Ave, Youngstown, OH 44506.
