Helen E. DiTullio

Canfield - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17 at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel for Helen DiTullio who passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on July 30, 1932 in Youngstown, the youngest of seven children to Louie and Maria Pasquale Williott. She was a 1950 graduate of East High school. On April 25, 1953 she married Dom DiTullio, the love of her life at Immaculate Conception Church and they shared forty-eight happy years together until he passed away on December 5, 2001. Helen and Dom were the original owners of Dom's Ice House which they operated until retiring in 1994. She was a poll worker on election day for thirty years. Helen was a 78-year member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was active in the Daughters of the Eucharist and Ladies Guild, she was on the kolochi and Easter bread baking committee. She loved to cook and bake, especially her family's favorites, sauce and meatballs, Wedding soup, and egg pizza. She enjoyed baking cookies at Christmas time and sharing them with her family and friends, and baking Easter bread and her special Easter pies. Her happiest memories were when her family gathered around her kitchen table every Sunday morning for one of her special breakfasts. Helen was the biggest supporter of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities, whether it was in sports or performing on stage she loved football and was an avid Y.S.U and Ohio State fan. She loved playing cards and on occasional trips to a casino. She was always ready to sit down to a friendly game of poker. She loved working crossword puzzles. In the summer she looked forward to attending all the Italian festivals with her brothers and sisters-in-law. Helen leaves to cherish her memories, her there wonderful children, Dennis (Ann) DiTullio of Florida, Joyce (Lou) Zorella of Canfield, and Gary (Debra) DiTullio of Canfield, eight loving grandchildren, Dennis DiTullio, Gina (Chad) Birdsall, MaryBeth (Jimmy) Linares, Nicole (Vince) LaGatta, Louis (Leslie) Zorella, Aj (Katie) Zorella, Gary(Brittany) DiTullio, Mark(Maddie) DiTullio. Also ten precious great grandchildren, Maria, Louis, Elizabeth, Gianna, Lucia, Carmela and Audriana Zorella, Angie and Violet Linares, Giluiana DiTullio. Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by four sisters, Rose (Auggie) Iacconi, Ann (Tom) Brown, Grace Williott and Elena Williott. Two brothers, Frank (Jennie) Williott and Tony (Helen) Williott, and her grandson Greg DiTullio. Family and Friends may call on Monday, February 17 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 343 Via Mt. Carmel in Youngstown. The family would like to thank the staff at The Inn at Ironwood for their compassion and care they showed to Helen. Also thank you to her granddaughter Nicole and great-granddaughter Maria for the care they gave her in her later years.
