Henrietta Vivian Foxx McGREGORY

Henrietta Vivian Foxx McGregory, 97 of Warren, OH departed this life Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Windsor House at Liberty, following complications from an extended illness. She was born July 5, 1928 in Newport News, VA, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Johnson Foxx, residing in the area for 3 years, coming from Tallahassee, FL. Henrietta was employed with RR Donnelly & Sons for 35 years as a Press Operator, before retiring in 1985. She was also the owner/operator of Jerry's Lounge in Gary, IN. She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Tallahassee, FL and a former member of the St. Timothy Community Church of Gary, IN and enjoyed cooking and Bible study. She married Jerry McGregory in 1943, he died December 3, 2016. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Ms. Sandra Dowdell of Warren, OH and Dr. Jerrilyn McGregory of Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard C. McGregory; four brothers, Andrew Johnson Sr., Samuel Johnson, Lorenzo Johnson Jr. and James Henry Foxx; one sister, Ms. June Opie and one grandson. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m., with Calling Hours from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
