Ian Bates Obituary

HUBBARD Ian A. Bates, 21, died Sunday evening March 9, 2025 at his home. He was born February 17, 2004 in Middletown, OH, a son of Eric J. Bates and Carrie L. Glozzer. Ian was a graduate of Licking Heights High School in Pataskala, OH and was a bander at Uniserv. He wrestled in high school, enjoyed fishing and playing video games. He leaves his father Eric of Lebanon, PA; 5 brothers, Evan, Sean, Gavin, Kannon and River Bates; a sister, Emily Bates; paternal grandparents, Daryl and Brenda Bates; maternal grandparents, Carole Glozzer and Lois Gibson; two uncles, Bryan (Anne Bartholomew) Bates and Daryl Bates Jr.; an aunt, Chantil (Steve) Martin and 4 cousins, Ellie Bates, Marlee, Kingston and Oaklei Martin. Ian was preceded in death by his mother and maternal grandfather, Clarence Glozzer. Family and friends may call on Saturday March 15, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.
