Judith Ritchie Obituary
Judith E. Ritchie, age 78, of East Rochester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Judy retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva, where she worked diligently in the wax room for many years. Known for her warmth, humor, and boundless kindness, she touched the lives of many with her welcoming spirit and open heart.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin L. Ritchie of East Rochester, Ohio, and Brian S. Ritchie and his wife Sarah of King George, Virginia; and her beloved granddaughter, Maelee Ritchie, with whom she shared a deeply special bond.
Judy had a rare gift for making everyone feel at home. Her house was an oasis-filled with love and surrounded by the beauty of her carefully tended garden and lake. Her hostas, trees, and especially her favorite pink hydrangeas, bloomed just as brightly as the joy she brought to those around her.
As loving parents Judy and Roger taught their boys the lessons of empathy, kindness and love. They are grateful for all the memories they were blessed with. From their parents never missing a sporting event, to the lake summers, the fun parties at their home and family vacations, every moment was cherished.
Her relationship with her granddaughter Maelee was one of life's greatest joys. Their time together in "grandma town" was filled with laughter, swimming and holiday cooking. Those summers created a treasure trove of memories that will live on forever in Maelee's heart.
Judy's kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave, the memories she created, and the beauty she nurtured-in her family, her garden, and the many hearts she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger L. Ritchie, parents Russell and Ella Baughman, brother, Larry Baughman and sister Linda Wiggs.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 4:30 PM at New Alexander Church, 7665 Rochester Rd, East Rochester, OH 44625.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
