POLAND - Kenneth J. Bartholomew, 64, departed this life Sunday June 9, 2024, at Hospice House. He was born June 11, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Rocco and Mary Bartholomew.
He was a 1977 graduate of Canfield High School and worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio, in surgery for many years. He also worked at the Orange Room in the Wedgewood Plaza. Ken moved to Boulder, Colorado where he opened and operated a business while also working for the Quinoa Corporation. After several years he moved back to the Youngstown area and worked for Mahoning County Engineers.
Ken lived a fulfilling life making stained glass, collecting hot wheels, and was a car enthusiast-especially Corvettes and his Dodge Charger. Ken had a wide range of interests and hobbies but loved his family most of all.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosemarie Bartholomew of 33 years, his sons; Travis "T.J." Bartholomew, Kristian Bartholomew, Tyler Shick and a granddaughter, Adelina Mitroo. The companionship he received from his dog, Roxy, brought comfort and happiness into his life.
He also leaves his brother Dennis (Lynn) Bartholomew of Vero Beach, Florida and a sister Linda Schulte of Boardman, Ohio and the late William "Mike" Schulte. Ken leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly but upon the death of his brother-in-law Mike, he took under his wing Scott J. Schulte, Erin Davies and Alexis Stanec.
He always looked out for others and was so full of love that he constantly shared. He spread so much joy around and did wonderful things for those he knew. If an angel is someone who touches your life, then it was Ken. He was an angel without wings.
Private services were held. Kenneth was buried at St. James the Apostle Cemetery in Pulaski, PA.
