Lisa A. Gunesch

Lisa A. Gunesch, 72, of Sharon, passed away September 16, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Gunesch was born March 4, 1953, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Charles and Gloria (Flower) Fischer. She was a 1971 graduate of Sharpsville High School and also completed an associate degree in secretarial studies at the former Shenango Valley Business School. For many years, Lisa worked as an administrative assistant at West Central Job Partnership in downtown Sharon. She previously worked in a similar capacity at St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage. Lisa was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Slovenian Home, both in Sharon. An avid reader, she also enjoyed gardening with her husband, Henry. Her greatest joy, however, was being a "Nana" to her beloved grandchildren. Her beloved husband of 26 years, Henry J. Gunesch, whom she married September 10, 1977, preceded her in death October 11, 2003. Lisa is survived by a daughter, Leslie Kapis (Dale), Vandalia, OH; two step-daughters, Laurie Bochert and Amy Washington; two step-sons, James Gunesch and John Gunesch (Patti); five grandchildren, Alexandra and Andrew Kapis, Aysha and J.J. Washington, and Dawn Vitello; two siblings Sherry Greenburg and Charles Fischer; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lisa was preceded in death by a brother, Dana Fischer; and a sister, Linda Fischer. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday (9-25-25) in J.
