Lori Ryder Obituary

With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Lori Lynne Ryder, a vibrant spirit who filled the lives of those around her with joy and laughter. Born on July 31, 1962, in Sharon, PA, Lori journeyed through life with a spunky attitude and an unwavering love for her family and friends. After a valiant fight, Lori passed away peacefully into eternity on April 3, 2025.
A proud graduate of Brookfield High School in 1980, she embraced life with an easygoing attitude that made friends out of strangers. Lori was a true embodiment of joy, known for her bossy yet lovable nature and her infectious laughter.
Lori's culinary talents and hospitality made her a favorite at John Schuster's Steakhouse in Masury, OH, where she poured love into every meal presented as a waitress. She also had a passion for cooking and provided catering services for private events.
A natural-born foodie, she delighted in baking as well, and savoring the little pleasures life had to offer, such as embracing the "gifts" of nature and her fondness for her favorite beverage – Pepsi.
Although Lori did not have children of her own, she nurtured many hearts as a nanny to families throughout the Mahoning-Shenango Valley. She embraced this role offering affection and guidance to all who knew her.
Lori attended Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and leaves behind a community that will remember her spunky spirit and kind heart. She appreciated the simplicity of life such as her cherished collection of blankets, knick-knacks and collectibles were in abundance.
Lori's home, filled with pictures of her loved ones, served as a reminder of the deep connections she fostered. The laughter shared over evenings spent indulging in her favorite soaps, sitcoms, and the whimsical world of SpongeBob SquarePants brought light into her home, making it a sanctuary of love.
Lori's legacy will be cherished by her beloved nieces Tina (George) Cvetkovich, Amber (Anthony) Helmick, Cassandra Conel-Camouse, and nephew, Joseph Turner. Precious memories will also be retained by dear friend & caregiver DeVona Roberts.
Additionally, Lori's five great nieces, two great nephews, two great-great nieces and three great-great nephews, along with a score of friends are committed to forge her legacy of love and laughter.
Never alone even in death, Lori was reunited with her mother Doris Ross, bonus father William Ross, siblings Darla Turner, Earl "Buck" Ryder and nephews David Schoolcraft, James Runyon and family friend, Ralph Bonilla, each who preceded her into eternity.
Lori, you leave behind a world made brighter by your laughter and love. You will be profoundly missed, yet your spirit will continue to inspire us all. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lori's life with a Celebration of Life memorial service to be held at a date to be determined.
At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the family of Lori Lynne Ryder elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E.
