Earlier today

When Gail worked for Trumbull County she was a consultant for Howland Schools. My classroom had room dividers in the back and she had her office in the back of my room. She was a strong educator with great ideas. I enjoyed sharing my classroom with her. She was an optimist, who loved my students and did not complain about the lack of privacy or the disruption of students coming and going from my classroom. She would often ask if she could help and would spend a little teaching time with one of my students. She loved teaching. She was both a colleague and a friend.

Earlier today

I saddened that our dear friend and colleague Gail Patrick has left us. If we are fortunate in this life, we are able to say that knowing people is an honor. Knowing Gail, working with her, considering her a dear friend, was an honor. I remember her as a brilliant, consummate educator, a caring and compassionate human being, and as fine a human being as I have known. Gail made every life she touched better, and that is a legacy and a life worth celebrating. I send my sincerest respects to Gail's family, and to everyone who knew her. Thomas Romack.
