Margaret "Peg" Raupach Obituary

Mrs. Margaret M. Raupach, 86, of Canfield, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 11th, surrounded by her family at her residence, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

"Peg" as she was affectionately known was born February 12, 1938 in Warren, a daughter of Robert and Bernice (Harmeyer) Glodde.

She was a 1956 graduate of  Austintown Fitch High school and worked as an Artos cutter for the former Packard Electric Corp. in Warren for 30 years, prior to retiring in 1999.

Peg married Eugene W. Raupach on February 1, 1957.  They shared 67 years of marriage and many wonderful memories together.  He survives her.

She was a past member of the Churchill United Methodist Church, she served as past President of the Rose Society of Youngstown, and was a member of IUE-CWA Local 717 in Warren.  She also volunteered her time with the Ronald McDonald House, and she participated in a medical study to contribute to her battle with Parkinson's.  She was an avid gardener and loved to grow roses, even entering some of them in the Canfield Fair flower competitions.  Peg's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

Besides her husband, Peg is survived by her three children; Margaret S. (Heidi) Raupach, of Newport, KY, Carrie L. Raupach, of Youngstown, and Jennifer M. (David) Campman, of Austintown.  She also leaves behind three brothers; Robert (Jonie) Glodde, of Tavares, FL, Terrance (Donna) Glodde, of Kinsman, and James Glodde, of Washington state; a sister, Rebecca Glodde, of Niles; two grandchildren; Jeffrey (Summer) Campman and Laurie (Timothy) McGlynn; and five beloved great grandchildren; Nathan, Emmerson, Harper, Jacob, and Gavin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16th at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.

Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10 - 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
