Mark Lett Obituary

Mark Sheldon Lett was born April 11, 1967, to his parents Anna Lee Stinson Lett and John Lett Sr. Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many with his warmth, humor, and entrepreneurial spirit. He was well known by many people in Youngstown and the surrounding areas. He was known for helping people in any way he could with such a big and pure heart and "known having a shocking number of kids". Mark simply wanted the best for everyone and did whatever he could to make sure that it happened. He had an endless capacity for kindness and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His infectious laughter and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mark was and always knew how to keep you laughing. The last of numerous businesses and enterprises Mark created was a trucking company that he passes down to the family. Mark was very intellectual, excellent with numbers. Mark, is survived by his wife Diane Moss Lett; siblings Anna Marie Lett, Marcellus Lett and Esmer Brown (Florida); children: Meleina Vega, Asia Lett, Shimeah Davis, Tajana Berger all of Youngstown, Zanoah Battles (Columbus), Jaquala Robinson, Arianna Rutledge (Youngstown), Tia Moore (Arizona), Alayna Lett (Florida), Lamarcus Lett, Martell Lett (Youngstown), Dwaylin Lett (New Castle), Mark Lett (Youngstown), Mark Lett aka Marky (Pittsburgh) Johnmark Lett, Byron Lett (Youngstown), Timothy Arroyo (New Castle), Jajuan Phillips, William Gipson (Youngstown) five stepchildren and a plethora of grandchildren. In honor of Mark's memory, floral tributes may be sent to New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman Street. The funeral service will be held on March 17, 2025, at New Bethel Baptist Church. The community will have an opportunity to pay their respects during calling hours, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth L. Simon and Minister Theodore Brown as the participating officiants. After the committal ceremony, there will be a cortege to Tod Homestead Cemetery escorting Mark in the classic Rosewood Prince Coach to his final resting place. Friends and family are invited to gather afterward for a repast at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., at 2:00 PM. At this time of intimate need and personal loss, the beloved family of Mark Sheldon Lett elected to entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with Transitional After-Care Arrangements to the J. E. Washington Funeral Services, 2234 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown OH 330.782.8500. WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand. That an Angel came and called my name and took me by the hand. And said my place was ready in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home, For God smiled at me and told me "Welcome Home." So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart. For every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. Send flowers to the service of Mark Sheldon Lett
