Markisha Pinkard Obituary

Markisha Sharae "Kisha" Pinkard, 38, of Youngstown, Ohio, peacefully passed away on September 11, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1987, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the cherished daughter of Develyn Greene and Lorenzo (Doris) Pinkard, and was deeply influenced by the care and guidance of her beloved aunt, Rose Pixley and grandmother, Rosie Aikens, who helped raise her. Markisha was preceded in death by her grandparents: Willie Aikens, Ralph Moore, Alice Marie Pinkard-Daniel and Dennis Herbert Pixley Sr. She was a devoted mother to her three children: Mae'lyn Burkley, Paige Gordon, and Craig Gordon Jr. She was a constant source of love, laughter, and encouragement in their lives. She is also survived by her siblings, Tramane (Kristina) Pixley, Maralyn Greene, Johnny (Kara) Pixley, Rashawnda (Mel) Pixley, Joshua (Lynette) Pixley, Angel Pixley, Drew Brown, Deja Pinkard, Monique Pinkard, Montreal Fisher, and Tequila Smith. She also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will remember her warmth, loyalty, and radiant presence. Kisha was employed at Park Center Rehabilitation. She had a passion for cooking, enjoyed watching sports, and treasured spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, bright smile, and wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room. Markisha was a woman of faith, raised in a Christian home, and carried those values throughout her life. A homegoing service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at L.E. Black, Phillips, & Holden Funeral Home, Inc., 1951 McGuffey Rd., Youngstown. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Though she has left this earthly home, Markisha's spirit, love, and laughter will live on forever in the hearts of her children, family, and all who were blessed to know her.
