Melanie Kay Albert

Melanie Kay Albert, 50, of Warren, OH was unexpectedly called home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Those who knew Mel will remember her laughter, kind heart, and her infinite love of family and friends. She was born April 11, 1974, in Warren, OH, the daughter of Donald M. Albert and Sandra K. Moon. Melanie graduated from Maplewood High School and continued her education at ETI Technical College, where she earned her medical assistant certification. She worked several jobs over the years which included: HMS, Speedway, Dollar General, Giant Eagle, and the Avalon Inn. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her daughter, Kaitlyn Mae Garvin; and her son, Cody Albert, who will always recall her infectious laughter and her delicious way of showing love through her amazing recipes. She devoted herself to her grandson, Josiah Morgan, the light of her life. Her mother, Sandra K. Moon, will especially feel the loss of Mel. The two shared a close, lifelong mother-daughter bond throughout the road of life. Mel will be fondly remembered and truly missed by her brother, Donald M. Albert, Jr., his children, Brandon, Courtney, and Travis and her father, Donald M. Albert, Sr. To Mel's extended family she will always be "Aunt Mel", the fun Aunt, who simply smiled and chuckled at all their antics. Of all the gifts she brought to the world, memories of her kindness and smile will live on. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
