Michael Klarich Obituary
January 5, 1949 – May 13, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Klarich, 76, of Youngstown, Ohio, who left this world peacefully on May 13, 2025, in the compassionate care of the Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. A man who brought joy wherever he went, Michael will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, sharp wit, and the laughter he gifted so freely.
A Heart That Beat for Sports and Family
Born on January 5, 1949, in Youngstown, Michael grew up in a home filled with strong values, a tireless work ethic, loud Sunday dinners, and even louder cheers for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He never missed a game - and rarely missed a chance to rib you about your team, especially if you were a Browns fan. His teasing was never mean, always warm, and often the icebreaker that brought people closer.
Michael attended Woodrow Wilson High School and proudly spent over 40 years working at Aerolite Extrusion Company. He was also a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and loved everything about "The King."
Michael had a remarkable way of making people feel at ease - whether through a perfectly timed joke, a twinkle in his eye, or his unmistakable, booming laugh. It was the kind of laugh that made you laugh, too - whether you knew the joke or not.
Though he never had children of his own, Michael held a special place in the lives of his nieces and nephews, celebrating their milestones, teasing them with affection, and showing up in ways that truly mattered.
Family Who Loved Him Deeply
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ivan and Annabelle Klarich; his brothers Paul and Clifford Klarich; and his dear sister Rita (Rick) Wolfson, who surely welcomed him into Heaven with open arms.
He is survived by his loving siblings:
• John (Rose) Klarich
• Sandra Napolitan
Michael leaves behind a devoted extended family, including his nieces and nephews:
• Jeffrey Wolfson
• Gregory (Martha) Wolfson
• Carolyn (Rob) Herb
• Lori (Rob) MacGregor
• Mark (Melissa) Klarich
• Brian Napolitan
He also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews who brought him joy in his later years, as well as the dedicated staff at Oasis, who became like family and walked alongside him with care, compassion, grace and love in his final chapter.
Final Thoughts
Michael Klarich lived a life rich in humor, passion, and love. He didn't need the spotlight to shine - he lit up every room with his presence and left hearts lighter with his words. He taught us that laughter is legacy, and in that way, he will live on in every story retold and every smile sparked by memory. True to form, he even had a big smile on his face in his final moments.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown at 11:00am. Please stop at the office at Calvary to get directions to the graveside.
