Nancy DeFabio Obituary

Nancy C. DeFabio, 86, of Niles passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025, at her residence with her family at her side. Nancy was born August 22, 1939, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Maxie Lee and Lucille (Schrader) Thompson Sr. Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School.She had a strong work ethic, which showed in her 40 plus years working for both Syro Steel (Girard, Oh), and Lane Metal (Pulaski, Pa.). She was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mt, Carmel Church in Niles, The International Association of Administrative Professionals, IAAP. Nancy enjoyed her morning coffee while reading the newspaper. She was an avid reader, enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, Dominick, and was always dressed to the nines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dominick DeFabio whom she married January 31, 1959,and her brother Maxie Lee Thompson Jr. She will be sadly missed by a daughter Denise Bliss of Niles, two grandchildren Damaris Lopez (Luke) of Grand Junction, Colorado and Dane Bliss (Cassi) of Hobe Sound,Florida, and a great-granddaughter Sadie Lopez. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
