Patricia Gibson Obituary
Patricia "Patty" M. Gibson, 93, passed away early Wednesday morning August 27, 2025, at her daughter's home.
She was born on March 17, 1932, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Ellen M. Fahey Drummond and grew up on Youngstown's south side.
She attended St. Dominics Church grade school and graduated from South High School in 1950. She has been a member of Saint Dominic Church, her entire life and had a great devotion to the blessed mother and prayed the rosary daily.
Patty was employed by Zimmer Office Equipment, Amtec, and retired from First Place Bank after 21 years of service.
Patty was an avid reader and bridge player and belonged to three clubs. She cherished her evenings out with the First Place retires group and loved sports, especially watching the Cleveland Guardians and Cavaliers. Trips to Geneva on the Lake and Myrtle Beach were highlights of her summers.
Patty loved her yearly birthday celebrations on St. Patrick's Day with family and friends.
Patty leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter whom she made her home with Susan (Randall) Cook of Boardman, and her son Thomas (Katie) Gibson of Boardman. Her grandchildren Randy (Erin) Cook, Jamie and Jenna Cook; Thomas and Andrew Gibson. And one great grandchild Randall "Randy" W. Cook III. A special niece Judy and Randy Pabst. She also leaves her special sister-in-law Pat Drummond, and sisters-in-law Jeannie Kamrada and Margaret Drummond and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Donald Thomas Gibson and great grandson Rowan Patrick Cook. and her brothers Joseph, Thoams, John "Jack", Paul, James and Michael Drummond.
Sisters Anne George, Faye Untch, Mariellen Werner, Norma Jean Donaghue, Louise Datillo, and Donna Graham.
Family and friends may call from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday September 2, 2025, at St. Dominic Church 77 E. Lucius Ave. Youngstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Frassati Davis.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family is requesting material tributes to be given in Patty's name to Saint Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44507.
