Renee Reffner Obituary

CANFIELD Renee E. Reffner, 55, died Thursday afternoon January 18, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Boardman. She was born January 3, 1969 in Youngstown, a daughter of Clayton and Shirley Leonard Reffner and was a lifelong area resident. Miss Reffner, a 1987 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Youngstown State University. She worked as a social worker and counselor to troubled youth at the Juvenile Justice Center and Community Alternatives. Renee leaves a sister, Cindy A. Barta and her husband Pete of North Jackson; her loving nephew, Ryan (Adrienne) Barta of North Jackson and two aunts, Judy Corfias of North Carolina and Barb Smittley of Falling Timber, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call on Tuesday January 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home. There are no funeral services.
