Richard Mendenhall Obituary

Richard D. Mendenhall, 89, of Bristolville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home. He was born April 12, 1936, in Warren, OH, a son of Charles and Helma (Angstrom) Mendenhall. Richard was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired as an artist cutter from Packard Electric after 30+ years. Richard was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the farm, fishing, tinkering, and his furry companion Leo. Richard was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and enjoyed watching high school football games. He is survived by his son, Richard C. (Anne) Mendenhall; daughters, Debra (Robert) Simmerly, Becky (Anthony) Manno, Renee (Michael) Rushin, and Kimberly Mendenhall; grandchildren, Lisa, Shalee, Gia, Jessica, Ali, Kyle, Haley, Richie, Marty, Kameron, Kody, and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Dawson, Nicholas, Addison, Beaux, Gino, and Giuliana; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucille, Patrick (Eileen) and Lynette along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Noreen L. Mendenhall; and seven siblings, Ted, Francis, Charles, Esther, Dorothy, Gladys, and Beverly. A private family service will be held with a celebration of life at a later date. A special thank you to the staff at Adoration Hospice and his caregivers, Monica, Lisa, and Shelby. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, 909 Martin Luther King Blvd SW, Warren, OH 44485. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
