Together Again in the Warm Sunshine of Heaven
Cortland – Bob Crawford passed to his heavenly home, September 5, 2025, and joined his wife Shirley (Cochran) Crawford, who passed away on July 30, 2019.
Bob, the son of the late Clarence and Hazel (Owens) Crawford and his wife Shirley, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Bliss) Cochran came to the Warren area in 1955 from Dubois/Reynoldsville PA.
Bob was a hands-on jack of all trades who retired from the Copperweld Steel Company in 1986. He was called "Charlie Brown" by his mill buddies and worked as a mechanic in the garage and other areas of the mill.
Shirley retired from the US Postal Service in 1996 where she worked as a rural mail carrier, out of the main Warren office. She was known as the "Blue Streak".
They were parents to Debbie (Tom) Huskin, Cheri Lutseck, Bobby (Gina) Crawford, and Jimmy Crawford, and grandparents to Rodger Huskin, Lea Royalty, Jessica, Jenna, and Joni Lutseck, Jarrod Jermeay, Richelle (Marc) George, Laura (Tristen) Crawford and Rebecca Lewis. They were also "Poppy and Mimi" to Madison and Landen Royalty, Zachary Martin, Emmeline "Emme" Lutseck, Von (Kaylee) Ogden, London Ogden, Evan and Kara Lewis. As well as two great granddaughters, Eliea and Emberlyn Ogden.
They are also survived by a sister-in-law, Donna Crawford, brothers, Jim (Glenda) Cochran and Mark Cochran, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides their parents the couple were preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lynn Crawford, a granddaughter, Jenniffer Lynn Huskin, and a great grandson John Edgar "Jack" Lutseck, along with sisters Jean Ditcher, Ann Louise McClure, Donna Larimer, and brothers, Donald and Jack Crawford.
The family would like to thank the compassionate care given to Bob by the staff at the Hospice House in Poland, and the staff of Cleveland Clinic Hospice given to Shirely and also want to thank the family's special friend Rebecka Steider for her steadfast care for the whole family during this ordeal. Her compassion and support helped the family through it all. Bob and Shirley's lives were defined by their selfless help to others. "Not a good day if you can't help someone" was their motto to live by. They will be missed.
A celebration of their lives will be held in the Spring of 2026
