Robert DelBane Obituary

Robert "Bob" DelBane, 77, of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in the town he loved and called home for most of his life. Born September 14, 1948, in Youngstown, Ohio, Bob grew up in Hubbard surrounded by family, friends, and the close-knit community that would remain dear to him throughout his years. A proud graduate of Hubbard High School's Class of 1966, Bob went on to attend Youngstown University and served in the Ohio National Guard. He built a long career as an Industrial Engineer, working for Denman Tire and later Werner Ladder. Bob was dedicated to his faith as a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell. Bob leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Andrea Mesaros; his son Robert DelBane and wife Jennybeth of Chesterfield, VA; his brother Dennis and sister-in-law Carol of Highland Heights, OH; sisters Kathy DelBane of Liberty, OH, and Patti Smith (Gary Daff) of Hubbard, OH; his brother-in-law John Mesaros and his wife Kelly, and their children Anthony and Alexis of Campbell, OH; his niece Erin West and her husband Ryan and their children, Ava and Addy; nephew Jonathan Baltes of Columbus, OH; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony "Tony" and Margaret "Marge" (Bobovnyik) DelBane; his brother Michael "Mike" DelBane; and his sister-in-law, Marcia (Mesaros) Baltes. Bob's life was full of simple joys and rich connections. He loved attending the ethnic festivals of the Mahoning Valley, savoring the food and music that celebrated the area's heritage. He enjoyed the occasional trip to the local casino, the thrill of a good NASCAR race, and the camaraderie of the golf course. By night, he could be found on the dance floor, moving with the same easy confidence he carried through life. A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, Bob relished the friendly rivalry with his sister Kathy, never missing a chance to tease her about her devotion to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He greatly enjoyed the company of his extended family, celebrating holidays and birthdays together. Known for his generosity and reliability, Bob was the friend you called when something needed fixing or when you needed a ride to the airport. In retirement, he embraced a new role as a handyman and unofficial chauffeur, always ready to lend a hand or keep someone company on the road. His kindness, humor, and steadfast nature left a mark on everyone who knew him. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to neighbors Mike Hauck and Margie Rigney for always being there when Bob needed them, and James Clinton, his daily companion and for driving Bob to his medical appointments. Private services will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home's website at www.stewart-kyle.com to share memories and condolences.

With Deepest Sympathy of a kind spirited guy whom I've always felt comfortable in his presence. Will be missed by all you had the privilege of knowing him. I admired his dancing and devotion to his ethnicity. It's sad and all too final. My love and regards to his Beautiful wife and Family. Peace.
