Robert Dutton Obituary
Robert Dutton, 77
Struthers Robert Dutton 77, peacefully left this earth and entered heaven on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Robert "Bobby" Dutton was born on July 25, 1947 the son of the late Emery and Allie (Wilson) Dutton.
Bob grew up on the east side of Youngstown and graduated from North High School in 1965. After school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country with honors on the USS Warrington in Vietnam.
When returning home he was employed at Truscon Steel with his father. He then moved to the P&LE railroad, along with many other positions for the city of Youngstown, including one he was most proud of which was Youngstown Boxing Commissioner. After the closing of the railroad, he then went to Modern Builders Supply. He went on to obtain his police academy credentials and was hired by the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department. He then went on to work for the State of Ohio Department of Corrections and worked at the Supermax Penitentiary until his retirement on November 30, 2013.
Besides being one of the kindest souls and having a heart of a lion, he was also one of the biggest Cincinnati Bengals fans in the area.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, the former Maria Amadio, whom he married on August 25, 1989; his daughter, Betty (Dave) Baldwin of Westport, TN: his son, Robert (Lori) Dutton of Lowellville; 7 grandchildren, Ashlie (Mike) Dutton of Austintown, Jon (Mary) Dutton of Las Cruces, NM, Alexis (Brandon) Rowlands of Gainer, NC, Matthew Baldwin of Las Vegas, NV, Ryan (Rachel) Baldwin of West Hills, CA, Livia and Mason Dutton both of Lowellville; 7 great grandchildren; his sister, Helen Cora; his brother John (Patty) Dutton; his sisters-in- law, Mary Dutton, Patty Amadio and Donna Neider all of Struthers; his first wife and mother of his children, Linda Dutton; best friend, Tom "Nuch" Antonucci along with many beloved nieces and nephews, for which he cared deeply for.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, "Buddy" Emery, Billy and Kenny and his Irish Twin sister Carolyn DiFlorio.
In lieu of flowers, "have an ice cold Miller Lite in my memory" and say "Who-Dey"
