Robert Fitzsimmons Obituary NILES- Robert J. Fitzsimmons, age 92, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Monday April 15, 2024 in his home. He was born in Cleveland on December 24, 1931, a son of the late James and Thelma (Kissel) Fitzsimmons. Bob worked as a Tool & Die Maker for the former Peerless Electric Company for 44 years prior to retirement. He was a skilled mason who blocked countless foundations and poured many driveways over his career. Bob was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and member of the Charity Lodge, Copper Penny Lodge, Cortland Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Order of the Eastern Star Morning Light Chapter #80, and Grotto Ali Babba. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and coons. He leaves behind his children Robert D. (Bethany) Fitzsimmons, Rick A. (Nancy) Fitzsimmons, and Shelly Nothacker; step-daughters Diana Lyons-Olson and M. Rhoda Lyons; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years the former Ethel M. Lyons on May 10, 2013, daughters Cathy and Patty Fitzsimmons, grandchildren Caleb Green and Mary Jane Fitzsimmons, brothers Tom and John Fitzsimmons, and step-sons Rev. John Lyons and Sheldon Nothacker. Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday evening at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio.
