Robert Dale Gillespie

Robert Dale Gillespie age 81 of Warren passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday Sept 20, 2025 at his residence. He was born on June 29, 1944 in Buckhannon, WV the son of the late John Wesley Gillespie and Bessie Melinda (Anderson) Gillespie. Robert had lived in Warren since 1965 formerly of Buckhannon, WV where he graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in the Class of 1964. He married the love of his life, Linda Lee Angel on Oct. 1, 1966 and they have enjoyed the past 59 years of marriage together. Robert worked as a Assembler/ Repairman at General Motors Lordstown retiring in 2000 after 32 years of service, and was a member of the UAW Local #1112. He loved woodworking, computers, electronics, building things, quilting, and all things working with his hands. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, 7 sisters, and 3 brothers. He is survived by: his wife: Linda L. Gillespie of Warren, 1 daughter: Janet Springer of Warren Twp, 2 sons: Robert & Wendy Gillespie of Wilmington, NC, Brian & Eve Gillespie of Warren, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday Sept. 25, 2025 at 12:00pm with Pastor Rob Bateman officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Robert will be laid to rest at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Warren.
