Ronald Bellas Obituary

Ronald Bellas, 76, of Sharon, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, July 10, 2025, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Mr. Bellas was born August 7, 1948, in Sharon, a son of the late Michael and Anne (Fekech) Bellas. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Sharon High School in 1966. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ron honorably served overseas during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 299, Sharon. He was a steel worker for most of his life and worked for several of the local mills throughout his career. Ron was of the Lutheran faith. He is survived by two sisters, Marlene Bellas, Sharon, and Elizabeth Bellas, Brookfield; a brother, William Bellas, Fowler, OH; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Thomas, and Robert "Bobby" Bellas. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday (7-14-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. Dennis Blauser, officiating. Interment: Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Hermitage. Full military honors will be rendered at the cemetery.

Met Ronny years ago at The Hotdog Shop downtown Sharon. Always had great conversations with him. I will certainly miss Ronny.
