Roselyn Carnahan Obituary
Liberty -- Services will be held at 11 AM Monday June 2, 2025, at Christ Episcopal Church for Roselyn B. Carnahan, 84, of Liberty, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday morning, May 26, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
Roselyn was born July 8, 1940, in Warren, daughter of the late William Sr. and Rose (Grimshaw) Boyd and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Howland High School, class of 1958 and continued her education at Warren Business College. Upon graduation, she worked in the administrative offices of the GE Trumbull Lamp Plant in Warren until 1965, leaving to take on her most important role as a homemaker, wife, and mother. Roselyn would return to the public sector and worked at the Trumbull County Board of Elections for 25 years from 1988 until her retirement in 2013.
Roselyn was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Warren where she was active in both the Altar Guild and Women's Craft Club. She was a member of the Ladies Republican Club and had been a 4H advisor in Howland alongside her mother Rose.
Roselyn was an accomplished seamstress entering her handmade outfits in both the Trumbull County and Ohio State Fairs.
Roselyn put her heart into everything she did from her counted cross stitch Christmas ornaments to her homemade pies and cookies. Her family was her focus. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Roselyn leaves her beloved husband of nearly 63 years, Roger Carnahan, whom she married July 7, 1962, at Christ Episcopal Church. Their three children; Alan Carnahan and his wife Lisa of Boardman, Cheryl Grace and her husband Ron of Cincinnati, and James Carnahan and his wife April of Strongsville. Ten grandchildren, Zachary, Allyson, Emily, Alex, Adam, Erin, Katie, Matthew, Elizabeth and Thaddeus. Seven great grandchildren, Zander, Deacon, Gia, Lincoln, Clara, Olivia, and Annika.
Besides her parents, Roselyn was preceded in death by her son Douglas Carnahan, her twin brother Robert Boyd, and younger brother, William Boyd Jr.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Sunday, June 1, at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home and again from 10 AM until 10:45 AM Monday, June 2, at Christ Episcopal Church, where service will begin at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roselyn's name to the Christ Episcopal Church Altar Guild Fund.
