Rosemary was born November 7, 1939, in Purcellville, Virginia, the cherished daughter of the late Charles Moore and Katherine Hunt Moore. She spent her early years in Virginia before moving to the Girard area in 1958, where she built a life centered around love, family, and community.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Rosemary's greatest joy was caring for her family. She possessed a remarkable talent for sewing, creating garments and patterns from memory with exceptional skill. Her creativity extended beyond fabric, as she was also a gifted artist who found fulfillment in painting and drawing. Rosemary delighted in cooking, baking, and playing bocce alongside her husband and family. As an active member of the St. Anthony and IFH Bocce Leagues, she cherished the friendships and camaraderie the game brought into her life. She was also a devoted member of St. Rose Church. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Christine Ford (Vince Genova) of Poland and Katherine (Wayne) Jones of Vienna; four grandchildren, Senator J.D. Ford of Indiana, Anthony (Ashley) Jones of New Middletown, Jennifer Skocik (Mark) of Cape Coral, FL., and Brian Jones of Pittsburgh; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her cousin, Alan Hummer of Virginia, who was like a brother to her. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
