Ruby Adams Obituary
Ms. Ruby Lee Adams, 79, of Campbell, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Ms. Adams was born June 28, 1944 in Selma, Alabama, a daughter of Leroy Sr. and Bernice Tipton Adams. She was a 1962 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. She had worked as a waitress for Irish Bob's for several years; and was a homemaker. Ruby was a member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church where she served on the usher, choir and various ministries. She enjoyed gardening, walking in the park, cooking, traveling to see family members in other states. Ruby was an advocate volunteer for Neighborhood Ministries in Campbell, Ohio for over 30 years.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, two children, Mary Ann Dunston and Karlin Adams both of Campbell; eight grandchildren, Maliyah (John) Turner, Shiontay Dunston, LaShay Dunston, Brandon Dunston, Kamarrii Adams, Jalen Adams, Karlin Adams Jr., and Keylen Adams; three great grandson, Anthony Dunston, John Jr. and Tru Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dwayne Adams; her sister, Mary Hayden; and three brothers, Leroy Adams, Jr., Willie Adams, and Nathaniel Adams.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 279 Whipple Ave., Campbell, OH. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon. Guests are asked to wear masks.
Ministry of comfort, love and dignity entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
