Robert DeMetro Obituary
Robert was born on May 21, 1933, in Pulaski, Pennsylvania. He married the love of his life, Dolores Russell, in 1952. The couple shared 71 years of marriage before Dolores' passing in September 2024.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Robert was employed at Youngstown Sheet and Tube until the plant's closing. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Robert is survived by his three children: Nancy DeMetro of Massillon, Eileen (Raymond) Curry of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Keith DeMetro of Lowellville. He also leaves five grandchildren: Mark (Kristen) Curry of Alexandria, Virginia; Cari (Phil) Rogers of Chantilly, Virginia; Aaron (Rachel) Curry of Ashburn, Virginia; Michael DeMetro of Lowellville; and Kelsie (Kyle) Jumper of Sterling, Virginia.
He was a proud great-grandfather to Mia, Alex, Adalyn, Paxton, Rachel, Anna, Brayden, and Raelynn.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main Street, Poland. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Robert, please visit our floral store.
