Sally Orsine Obituary

Sally A. Orsine, 82, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside at 12:15p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 while a patient at Saint Joseph Health Center, Warren. Sally was born in Warren, Ohio on February 26, 1940 the daughter of Andrew and Loretta (Yeznis) Stonkus and has lived in Niles all her life. Sally attended local schools and graduated in 1958 from Niles McKinley High School. Following graduation she attended Kent State University. In previous years, Sally worked as a bank teller and an elementary teacher's aide. She was a member of St. Stephen Church. She met the love of her life while working at the lunch counter at the former Kresge's Store in McKinley Heights and she then married James L. Orsine on September 2, 1961 and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Sally is survived by her husband, Jim Sr., a wonderful "Mom" to her daughter, Michele (Ken) Heinselman, and son, Jim Orsine Jr. all of Niles. The five grandchildren, Andrew, Alayna, Jacob, Carlena and Katelyn affectionately called their grandmother "Nonna". At Sally's request, a private celebration of life will be held and burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home 126 West Park Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446.
