Sandra Marlene "Cope" Orr

Salem - Sandra Marlene Orr, age 85, of Salem, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Salem North Healthcare, Salem. She was born on March 3, 1940, in Negley, OH, a daughter of the late John and Mary Thompson Cope. Sandra had worked as an administrative assistant for Arthur J. Gallager as well as a dispatcher for Roadway Trucking for many years. She was a member of the Canfield Presbyterian Church and was a long-time donor and participant with Toys for Tots. Sandra had a card ministry for needy people and loved crocheting, donating her work to various maternity departments. In her younger days, Sandra enjoyed playing both the piano and organ. She liked taking long drives in the country, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her "grand fur babies" and her beloved grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her two daughters, Laura (James) Sounik of Waynesville, OH and Lisa (Samuel) Weingart of Salem; a son, Randall Orr of Salem, OH; two grandsons, Brian Sounik of Waynesville, OH, and Jeremy (Laura) Sounik of Chandler, AZ, and a granddaughter, Heather (Casey) Baker of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by four siblings. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.
