Sophie Kucik

Sophie Kucik, 95, of Farrell, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 5, 2025, in Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at New Wilmington. Mrs. Kucik was born on April 28, 1929, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Korab. A lifelong area resident, she attended Farrell High School Sophie was employed for 42 years in the Farrell School District cafeteria. Her husband, Nick Kucik, whom she married on June 19, 1948, in the former St. Adalbert's Church, preceded her in death on August 14, 2011. In her spare time, Sophie enjoyed sitting on her front porch and working in her yard, especially tending to her flowers. She also liked doing puzzles and baking. She is survived by a son, Greg Kucik; a daughter-in-law, Andrea Kucik, both of Farrell; four grandchildren Chris Kucik, Vanessa (Dan) White, Brian Kucik, Melissa (Jerry) Canone and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Sophie was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas J. Kucik, and all of her siblings. In keeping with Sophie's wishes, there are no services.
