Stephen Brunswick Obituary

Stephen A. Brunswick, 47, of Union Twp. passed away Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2024, in his home. Stephen was born August 4, 1976, in New Castle, a son of David Brunswick and Kathleen (Bordyniuk) Brunswick. He was a 1994 graduate of Union High School and attended Edinboro University. Stephen loved his family and his cat, Sammi. He always looked forward to the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, where he enjoyed decorating and giving presents to friends and family. Stephen cherished the time he was able to spend with dear friends, especially Erica and Meghan. Stephen was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle – St. Mary's Church. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Brunswick, with whom he made his home in Union Twp.; his father, David Brunswick (Linda), of New Castle; two sisters, Kristina Richman (Joshua), and Lindsay Hanson (Dan), all of New Castle; two aunts, Nancy Bordyniuk and Johanna Zieglar, both of New Castle; two nieces, Jenna and Madison; and two nephews, Joey and Alexander. Stephen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Robert Brunswick; his maternal grandparents, Nancy and John F. Bordyniuk; a brother-in-law, Russel T. Hasson; two uncles, Peter and Johnny Bordyniuk; and his dear friend, Jamie Kassi. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family at Donate to assist in Stephen's farewell. All services will be held privately. Interment: Madonna Cemetery, Union Twp.
