Vera Sulick Obituary

Elvira R. "Vera" Sulick, 99, of Batavia, Illinois, formerly of Niles passed away on August 6, 2025. Vera was born March 4, 1926 in Niles the daughter of Dominic and Marie Mangino Prezioso. Vera was a 1945 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1948 graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a Registered Nurse for St. Elizabeth Hospital and Paisley House retiring in 1999. She was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish- Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, enjoyed baking, gardening and flowers. Her husband Edward M. Sulick Sr. whom she married October 21, 1950 died November 19, 2005. She will be deeply missed by her children Nancy Zobitz (Thomas) of Geneva, Illinois , Edward M. Sulick Jr. (Shirley) of Canfield, Ohio , and Judy Sulick of Irvine, California, four grandchildren, Suzanne Schwab (Joshua), Jocelyn Zobitz(Paul McCarthy), Matthew Sulick (Kacie), Lauren Sulick, and four great-grandchildren, Reese,Landon, Matilda, and Grace. She will be lovingly remembered by extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Biviano, Carmel Francu, and Jen Kridler. Vera will be buried alongside her husband, Edward, at Niles City Cemetery. A private memorial service will be conducted at a future date with her immediate family.
