Walter Blews Obituary

Walter Blews,76, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away on Monday, May 20 , 2024 at University Hospital. He was born on October 19, 1947, in New Castle, PA a son to the late Walter and Mary (Gross) Blews. Walter proudly served in the Army during Vietnam and later dedicated 30 years of his life to Mahoning Valley Fabrication before retiring in 2012.

In his free time, Walter enjoyed various hobbies such as browsing Ebay, collecting recorders and tools, fixing small engines, welding, and listening to country music. 

Walter will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: his sons Jeff (Aubrey) Blews of Girard and Scott (Monica) Blews of Punta Gorda, FL; daughter Amy (Tony) Fiore of Wisconsin; brother Larry (Nancy) Blews; fiancé Jeanne Tancos, and grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Bryan, Aden and Mia.

Along with his parents Walter is preceded in death by his wife, Sara (Teleis) Blews and brother Ronnie Blews.

The family will receive relatives and friends  on May 24th, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 AM with calling hours one hour prior to service. 

Walter will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
