Wayne REDD Obituary

Wayne Dwight Redd, 73, of Warren, OH departed this life Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 4:11 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center, following complications from a short illness. He was born April 26, 1952 in Warren, OH, the son of Arthur W. and Julia Mae "Daisy" Crenshaw Redd Jr., residing in the area for 24 years, coming from Stone Mountain, GA Wayne was employed with Glunt Industries for 18 years as a Tow Motor Driver and enjoyed fixing cars. He was a 1970 graduate of Lakeview High School. He married Dorothy Jean Ball Redd in 1972. Besides his wife of Warren, he leaves to mourn three sons, Waymen L. Redd and Shawn O. Redd both of Columbus and Rueben Redd of Warren; one daughter, Ms. Suleyca M. Redd of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, Mark Redd and Kirt Redd both of Warren; four sisters, Mrs. Mary (Norman) Smith of Warren, Mrs. Linda (Jerry) Martin of Youngstown, Mrs. Marie (Roy) Yancey of Warren and Mrs. Zena (Jeff) Hugley of Niles; twenty-two grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ms. Doretha Redd; three brothers, Donald R. Redd, Arthur W. Redd III and Terry L. Redd and one grandson, Kaylin Redd. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastside Church of Christ, with Calling Hours from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will take place Monday, June 30 at Crown Hill Burial Park. Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
