Audrey Shirley Ferris Nielsen, 88, was reunited with her eternal Sweetheart, Clifford Floyd Nielsen (deceased 2014), Friday, 2 December 2022. Audrey died of apparent heart failure.
Audrey was born 30 March 1934 in Los Angeles, California to William and Pearl Ferris (both deceased). She was the oldest of 5 children. She is survived by sisters her Katherine (Kay) Ferris Marshall (Riverton, Utah) and Sharon Ferris Robison (Ogden, Utah), as well as 2 brothers, Clair Ferris (Olympia, Washington) and Paul Ferris (Medford, Oregon).
In 1952, she met the love of her life, Clifford Floyd Nielsen of Weiser, Idaho. They married on 24 May 1953, in Yreka, California and on 8 June 1955 they were sealed in the Idaho Falls temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Audrey and Cliff spent the early years of their marriage living and raising their family in different towns and cities in the Bay Area, Northern California, and Southern Oregon. 6 children were born during those years.
Nothing was more important to Audrey and Cliff than their six children: Richard Sherman Nielsen (deceased 2010); Teri Lynn Nielsen Blue of St. Helens, Oregon, married to Graden Blue; D'on Rae Nielsen Thomspon of Houston, Texas, married to Randy Thompson; Clifford Floyd Nielsen, Jr. (deceased 1962); Scott Cahoon Nielsen of Kennewick, Washington, married to Pam Jensen Nielsen; Kristine Audrey Nielsen Oakey of Berlin, Connecticut, married to Doyle Ray Oakey. Additionally, Audrey and Cliff took extraordinary pride in their 26 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren!
Funeral services for Audrey will be held on Saturday, 17 December 2022 at 2:00p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 282 NE 32nd Avenue, Hillsboro, Oregon. The viewing will be at 1:30 p.m.
Graveside services and interment will be held Monday, 19 December 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon, 97501
