Dean Stogsdill

On July 5, our beloved father, Dean Stogsdill, was called home to be with the Lord. Although his family and friends greatly miss him, we are rejoicing that he is "home free" where there is no more suffering, no more pain and no more goodbyes.

He was a longtime resident of Klamath Falls, where he had Dean's Barber Shop for over 30 years. He truly enjoyed watching his young customers grow up, get married and then bring their children. After retiring, Dad moved to Central Point, Ore., where he gladly retired his snow-blower. What he loved most was his family, God and long walks on the beach.

Our dad led by example. He was a hard-working, genuine man of faith that always put other people before himself. He never felt that people should make a fuss over him and with that in mind, it was no suprise that Dad did not want any kind of funeral or memorial service. However, we, his children, Gary Vader, Pat Palazzolo, and Susan Cox, will honor our dad with a celebration of his life, July 25, at 1 P.M. at Eagle Point National Cemetery, followed by the inurnment of his cremains.

All are welcome to attend or stop by afterwards for a visit at his home in Central Point.

Grandpa thanks for the bible studies and of course your bible You opened my eyes to many new things I never knew that I never knew. I will miss you very much but the thought that you went home gives me great comfort and joy love ya grandpa

Pat, I'm so sorry for your loss, but at the same time I'm grateful for your Dad's release from his suffering. Losing a parent is a difficult thing to get through even though we know it's part of life's cycle for all of us. I think of you daily, and pray for your strength.

Although I only have gotten to know you though your baby sister RaMona, I feel honored to have heard about what a honorable man you were. To one of the dearest friends I have ever had. Dean and Phylis stayed so close to me, to help and advise me over the years. Dean and I took sign language classes together and had fun with that. They are both so very misses by me daily. Their love for the lord has always been so much of our phone conversatioins.

I met Dean and Phyllis not all that long ago. Dean was a sweetheart with a great sense of humor. I know his family and friends will miss him lots.

Dean was my Brother, he was always a Father figure to me when I was little, as My own Father had left us. He always made sure I got to go skating or out with my friends until it was the time I had to be home and then he would go out with his own buddies. I will never forget him! Now I am alone, as he & I were the only one's left after Bonnie passed on a year & a half ago. But I know that one day I will see them all again!! He is no longer in pain and for that I'm grateful, but I will miss him terribly.

I miss you Dad. Never got to thank you for the privelidge and blessing you gave me by letting me take care of you and be with you the last few precious months of your life. You always thanked me for the smallest things and now I want to thank you for the biggest of things, "sharing your last days of life with me."
