Eldon K. McBride

November 27, 1939 -

October 14, 2021

Eldon K. McBride, 81, of Shady Cove, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of October 14, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He spent his last days surrounded by his loved ones. Eldon was born on November 27, 1939, in Logan, Utah. He was the oldest of four children. He joined the US Air Force in April 1958, and served honorably with the Air Police.

Eldon was passionate about his many hobbies, and fishing was at the top of the list! He enjoyed fishing anytime and anywhere, he enjoyed tying flies and he even had a special fly named for him. Eldon was also a dedicated gardener, an inventive craftsman, a tinkerer, and a prolific reader. One of the most enjoyable pleasures of the past several years was going trap shooting with his good friend, Gale.

Eldon was predeceased by his daughter Lorraine and his parents, Keith Warren McBride and Elda Riggs McBride. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Connie McBride, 3 siblings, Neal, Dennis and Susan, his son Shawn, his granddaughters Zoe, Mary, Lily, and Mello, and several stepchildren and their families. Eldon was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandpa and great grandpa to dozens, he made an impact on a lot of lives, and he will be remembered fondly and missed dearly.

Eldons' family has planned a memorial Celebration of Life on November 13, 2021, from 1 to 3pm at the Eagle Point Grange (5 So. Shasta, Eagle Point, OR). Friends and family are welcome to join us as we remember the husband, sibling, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, the McBride family asks that you support the work of the National Pancreas Foundation by donating in Eldon's memory: https://pancreasfoundation.org/take-action-2/donate-to-npf/ , Phone: 301-961-1508.
