Larry Flynn Obituary

Larry John Flynn

Larry John Flynn was born on March 23, 1945 at Ventura, Calif. He was raised in Lakeview, Ore., and graduated from high school there in 1963. He attended OSU and SOSC, graduating with a B.S. in 1968. He served in the Navy until 1972, and then settled with his former wife, Dianne in Ashland, Ore. Larry moved, with his family, to Lake Oswego in 1981, eventually moving to West Linn.

Larry was a fun-loving, highly energetic man with a great passion for his family and for life. He and his wife, Estee' loved to travel and enjoyed maintaining a beautiful home and yard. As a securities broker and a financial planner, Larry had countless close friends and clients from his over 30 years in the business.

He and Estee' are icons in "the neighborhood," having developed wonderful friendships over the years with his quick wit and caring spirit. He adored his wife and was a great and devoted father. The outpouring of love and affection for him since his battle with cancer began, has been an amazing tribute to his long standing status as the "everyone's best friend."

Larry is survived by his wife, Estee'; his son, Brandon; his father, Millis; his sister, Marcie Kiernan; his brother, Layne Flynn; his former wife, Dianne Heitmanek; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., February 9, 2008, at Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 S.W. Salmon St., Portland, OR.
