Rose Mary Draper
Passed away on August 2, 2022 in Lake Havasu City AZ, Rose was born in Baltimore Maryland on July 26, 1932.
At 3 years old she moved to California, then to New Mexico and Arizona, and then on to Oregon. She lived in Union Creek, Prospect, Medford and Trail moved to Eagle Point Oregon in 1957.
Met the love of her life Lee Roy Draper in the 5th grade in Prospect OR, married him January 16, 1948. He passed away in 2009 after 61 years of marriage; they had 3 children Bill, Dan and Judy. She was very active in school with children, Cub Scout Leader and Campfire Girls. She became substitute librarian in Eagle Point in 1968 and Supervisor in 1970 before retiring in 1995 so they could travel. She served on the Eagle Point City Council for 13 years, Council President and Mayor. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Beta Nu Chapter since 1975. Rose was an avid bowler loved to read and travel, also a member to the Butte Creek Baptist Church in Eagle Point.
Rose is survived by her oldest son Bill Draper of Lake Havasu City AZ, Granddaughter Angela Draper, Daughter in Law Debbie Draper (Terry Coryell) of Fallon NV, Robert Draper of Glendale AZ, Granddaughter Tami Barkdull of Elko NV, Grandson Erik Draper of Klamath Falls OR, and Granddaughter in Law Lori Draper of Eagle Point OR. 12 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Lee Roy Draper, Son Dan Draper, Daughter Judy Draper, Great grandson Daniel Williams, Daughter in Law Sandy Draper, Grandson Jimmy Draper, Birthfather JT Manly, Mother Mary Brown, Father George Brown and Granddaughter in law Kirby Draper.
She loved all her family dearly.
A celebration of life will be at Perl Funeral Home Chapel, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd Medford, OR 97504 on September 2, 2022 at 11am

I learned so much from Rose working with her as a volunteer at the Eagle Point Library. Not only pride in the Upper Rogue area, confidence in skills I didn't know I had and much more. A deep, abiding respect, admiration and love for her. She has been a kind friend to our family.

Rose was such a sweet lady and one of the best neighbors we have ever had.(Eagle Point) She loved her family and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. We are praying for you all.
