Tanya Pauline Shoemaker

September 4,1934 -

November 17, 2021

Tanya Pauline Shoemaker went to be with her Lord 11/17/2021. Tanya was born in Medford, on 9/4/1934 to Benjamin James Trowbridge, Sr. and Pauline Trowbridge. Tanya's passing was preceded by both parents, step-mother Melba Trowbridge, Benjamin James Trowbridge, Jr. (brother), Denise Hascom (daughter) and her beloved husband James Paul Shoemaker. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Ann Shoemaker (Lompoc, CA), 2 grandsons, Justin and Mitchell Hascom, 1 great-grandchild, sister Pam Skopil (Rik), Portland, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Jim and Tanya met at Arizona State, and then were stationed in Lawton, OK., with the Army where Deborah was born, then moved to Medford where Denise was born. After raising two girls, Tanya worked at Penney's, fitting foundation garments especially for cancer survivors. Many women were so blessed by her care that they wrote commendations to the management. She also volunteered at Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital as a pink lady and was a 50 year member of PEO, loved Bridge, was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Tanya never met a stranger that left without becoming a friend she would pray for daily. She loved to spread the love of Christ and she will be greatly missed.

Thank you to so many of her lifelong friends and her caregivers Kelli and Dennis Tressel at Spring Lily Adult Foster Home, who made the last 3 years of her life full of joy.

Tanya was God´s gift of joy to us for several years like so many other friends and strangers. Precious memories of her (and Jim too) remain in our hearts with gratitude to our LORD Jesus for sharing her life with us.
