To all of Aunt Alices' family and friends,
Aunt Alice was my godmother and I have very fond memories of her from the past. Though I have lived in Virginia for over 30 years, I tried to keep up with where she was was and how she was. John and I are the same age, so I have many fond memories of the family gathering up at Nana's on Chestnut Street and the noise level getting louder and louder as everyone kept on talking! It was always a fun and crazy family gathering. I know John and Kate cared for Alice for some time and I have always had great admiration for them for them doing that. I had gotten to see her in Hallowell the last couple of times I had come to Maine and she still seemed to be the sweet and loving person she was. I know her family was everything to her. May we all remember the wonderful memories we have of her and our other deceased parents. Those 5 Wooside children of Nana's were a great bunch! Her life was a true celebration of happiness and joy! Love, Carmen Woodside Stratton

I am glad to say that Alice Dorman was my Grandmother and I only hope that I can carry her spirit with me and impart her goodness in my children. I just wish that she could have "brained" me one more time. I am going to miss you Gram.

Although I have never met Alice, I have the pleasure of knowing her son, Michael Sherbak. He is a dear man, with kind ways. Anyone who can rear a son with those qualities has to have been a dear person.

We haven't seen Alice in many years but have thought about her often. Shannon and Greg knew her as "Grammy D". She always came to JoAn's when we were in Exeter to see the kids. We will miss her!

My most cherished moment, was when Gram was my birthing coach 24 years ago when my first son Matthew was born. I can remember the nurses telling her to "stop pushing, that's your grandaughters job. Gram and I laughed many times over that day. Gram will be deeply missed in my life. I am so thankful to have had such a wonderful and caring Grandmother.

My Mom's (Elaine Hargreaves) cousin Alice was a good friend to our family. When we first moved back to Exeter,NH IN 1969,we lived in our travel trailer in her driveway. Years later my Mom was to also live on Washington Street. A kind heart and a beautiful smile.

Alice was my godmother and a very special aunt. We have always had a great bond and relationship. My husband, Walt, always told her she was his "favorite aunt" and she would have a smile from ear to ear when he told her that. We will cherish our fond memories of Alice and will miss her dearly.

My favorite memories of Alice are going “thrift” shopping with her. We shared the love of hunting for a bargain, especially clothing. She loved buying purses and costume jewelry and had quite a collection! She especially liked finding clothing or toys for her grandchildren. Alice and I “hit it off” from the moment we met. She was a lovely kind generous woman with a great smile and laugh and I miss her a lot.

Alice was my mother's (Elaine Norton Clark Hargreaves) cousin. Though I was born in Augusta, much of my younger years was in Newmarket NH, where Alice and her family (in Exeter) were the "closest" relatives I had. She was a warm and loving person and she shall be missed. Alice, God be with you.
